Immersion
Prosthetics/Dentistry

SLMandic reserves the right not to start the course on the date indicated above if the minimum number of students is not reached. The registrant is responsible for waiting for confirmation of the start date from the Commercial Department so that the necessary arrangements can be made.

Course Content:

Dental Occlusion: Past, Present, and Future.
Classic Concepts & Scientific Evidence – Has anything changed?
Can CR (Central Reception) vary throughout the day? Does canine guidance treat bruxism and prevent non-carious cervical lesions?
Can Camper's plane be used in some cases?
Timing and oral rehabilitation based on proprioception and osseoperception.
Does digital occlusion solve all problems or can it reintroduce old ones?
Comparing patients who use their occlusion only for function with those who overuse it. Could this overuse be the main dental problem today? The missing link in the relationship between occlusion and TMD (Temporomandibular Disorders)?
What is bruxism in 2024: classification, consequences, comorbidities,
awake bruxism (AB), its prevalence in the current population, and reasons that may lead to its increase in the future. What are the control strategies?
Can AB affect continuous dental extrusion, a factor related to new occlusal problems in implant-supported prostheses?
Sleep Bruxism: Current concepts and control.
Stabilizing Plates: Rigid, Total, Flexible, Mixed, Front Plateau, NTI? – Is there a correct thickness? Is their use increasing? How do they work? Do I need
Botulinum Toxin? Use during sleep, while awake, and for how long? Molding or scanning?
Milled or printed? Is it time for digital? Semi-adjustable articulator, facebow, CR or MIH, deprogrammers and interocclusal records: Can I simplify without compromising the final result?
– Mixed Stabilizing Plate: Temporary, immediate alternative and social purpose.

Working in pairs, students create and adjust a composite plate. Each student leaves with their plate made by their partner.
This exercise (composite plate) allows them to learn all the details of the design and adjustments of a conventional rigid plate, made in the laboratory.
