Also review all Occlusal Splints for controlling the consequences of Bruxism, with a clinical part where one student performs a Mixed Stabilizing Splint on another, in an exercise that allows the student to learn and practice the design, adjustments and guides of any splint, whether digital or analog.

There is no registration fee for this course.
This course does not have an extended plan.
Cancellation up to 20 days before the start of the course/module: 80% refund, with 20% retained for administrative expenses. After this period, there will be no refund of the registration fee due to the impossibility of replacing the registrant.
The undergraduate Dentistry course is full-time. Classes are held Monday through Friday, in the morning and afternoon. There are some activities on Saturdays, according to the academic calendar. Learn more details below:

– Dental Occlusion: Past, Present, and Future.
– Classic Concepts & Scientific Evidence: Has anything changed?
– Can CR (Central Reticulum) vary throughout the day? Does canine guidance treat bruxism and prevent non-carious cervical lesions?
– Can Camper's Plane be used in some cases?
– Timing and oral rehabilitation based on proprioception and osseoperception.
– Does digital occlusion solve all problems or can it reintroduce old ones?
– Comparing patients who use their occlusion only for function with those who
overuse it. Could this overuse be the main dental problem today? The
missing link in the relationship between occlusion and TMD (Temporomandibular Disorders)?
– What is bruxism in 2024: classification, consequences, comorbidities,
diagnosis.
– Awake bruxism (AB), its prevalence in the current population and reasons that may
lead to its increase in the future. What are the control strategies?
– Can BV affect continuous dental extrusion, a factor related to new
occlusal problems in implant-supported prostheses?
– Sleep Bruxism: Current concepts and control.
– Stabilizing Splints: rigid, total, malleable, mixed, Front Plateau, NTI? – Is there a
correct thickness? Is its indication increasing? How does it work? Do I need
Botulinum Toxin? Use during sleep, during wakefulness, and for how long? Molding or scanning?
Milled or printed? Is it time for digital? Semi-adjustable articulator, facebow
, RC or MIH, deprogrammers and interocclusal records: Can I simplify without
compromising the final result?
– Mixed Stabilizing Splint: Temporary alternative, immediate and social purpose.
– Working in pairs, fabrication and adjustment of a mixed splint. Each student leaves with
their splint made by their partner.
– This exercise (mixed splint) allows you to learn all the details of the design and
adjustments of a conventional rigid splint, made in the laboratory.
