The approach is based on lectures, clinical cases, and a practical class on clinical management of breastfeeding in a maternity ward. The professional will be trained to support mother-baby pairs in the breastfeeding process and in Neonatal Dentistry in public, private, and private clinics.
With approaches such as problem-based learning, clinical simulations, and the use of advanced educational technologies, students are prepared using comprehensive and dynamic active teaching methodologies to face the challenges of modern dental practice.

There is no registration fee for this course.
This course does not have an extended plan.
Cancellation up to 20 days before the start of the course/module: 80% refund, with 20% retained for administrative expenses. After this period, there will be no refund of the registration fee due to the impossibility of replacing the registrant.
The undergraduate Dentistry course is full-time. Classes are held Monday through Friday, in the morning and afternoon. There are some activities on Saturdays, according to the academic calendar. Learn more details below:

Students will have:
▪️Roundtable discussion with pregnant women (prenatal breastfeeding)
▪️Support for mother-baby pairs during breastfeeding in the first hour.
▪️Support for breastfeeding management of mothers and babies in the postpartum period (rooming-in)
▪️Monitoring and management of mother-baby pairs in the neonatal ICU
▪️Practical training in feeding techniques for newborns facing difficulties (cup feeding, spoon feeding, supplemental breastfeeding, and relactation)
▪️Practicing the technique of using a baby bath (ofuro).
▪️Practice of assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation protocol for the lingual frenulum in newborns.
